Company Admin
The first accounts made up to 30 November 2024 aren’t due until 24 August 2025. A retired accountant in Ovingdean said he will help us if we need.
We have to submit the first confirmation statement online by 7 Dec 2024. This used to be called an Annual Return. It’s basically to confirm that company info eg address, officers, business description is up to date.
Bank Account
A bank account with CashPlus now know as Zempler has been set up which only Bridget (Chair) and Sonia (Treasurer) have access to.

Use of Saltdean Community Association Bank Account
Originally The Saltdean Community Association agreed to allow the WSNF to use its bank account and charity registration number to apply for grants.
Three grants received through SCA:
- February 2022: £900 from Locality. This was for our consultant Nancy Astley to set up and register the forum and plan area.
- October 2022: Saltdean Beach Tunnel Project awarded us £544 for Surveymonkey subscription: £384 and newsletter designer £160
- December 2022: £5082 from Locality:
£3460 for consultants
£522 for leaflets
£1000 for website
£100 repaid as exhibition not held.
Unfortunately, on 2 June 2023, the SCA’s chair (Cathy Gallagher) informed Bridget that the SCA no longer wanted to continue this help.
Establishing West Saltdean Neighbourhood Forum Ltd
As Locality, the grant funder, requires organisations to have a registered number, The West Saltdean Neighbourhood Forum Ltd company was registered with Companies House on 24 November 2023 – Company number 15307948. We couldn’t use Saltdean Residents Association bank account as it does not have a registered number.
