What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
Neighbourhood plans are a new way for communities to have a say in the future of the places where they live and work.
Plans include:
- Influence the design of new buildings / alterations to existing buildings.
- Protect open spaces.
- Help retain 25% of the money collected from developments to spend on local projects.
- Encourage developers to build what the local community wants and needs.
- Community have more say in the way the local area is developed.
